Project Details
For an interdepartmental digitization project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer (f/m/d) with in-depth experience in requirements gathering, modeling, and documentation. In this role, you will act as the central interface between specialist departments, product managers, and the development team, and will accompany projects throughout the entire requirements lifecycle—from analysis to quality assurance.
Responsibilities
For an interdepartmental digitization project in the public sector, we are looking for an experienced Business Analyst / Requirements Engineer (f/m/d) with in-depth experience in requirements gathering, modeling, and documentation. In this role, you will act as the central interface between specialist departments, product managers, and the development team, and will accompany projects throughout the entire requirements lifecycle—from analysis to quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Collection, analysis, validation, and documentation of functional and non-functional requirements
- Collaboration with stakeholders from various departments to find solutions
- Creation of user stories and requirements according to established standards and best practices (e.g., IREB)
- Modeling and describing requirements using standardized methods (e.g., UML, BPMN, sentence templates, GUI mockups)
- Supporting implementation through continuous requirements management and quality assurance
- Supporting product owners and project managers in release preparation and structuring
- Maintenance and prioritization of the product backlog in close coordination with stakeholders
- Definition of acceptance criteria in collaboration with PO and development team
- Technical support for the development team in solution development
- Close collaboration with test and quality management to ensure requirements coverage
- Moderation of workshops and presentations for requirements gathering and coordination
- Either: Completed IT-oriented education (technical college, university of applied sciences, university, or equivalent) and at least 5 years of professional experience in the consulting and IT industry
- Or: At least 10 years of professional experience in the consulting and IT industry
- Experience in telecommunication
- Certification in requirements engineering (e.g., IREB CPRE) is an advantage
- Practical experience with agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)
- Very good knowledge of creating user stories and use cases
- Experience with requirements modeling tools (e.g., Enterprise Architect, Confluence,Jira)
- Strong communication skills and moderation skills
- Structured, analytical approach to work with high quality standards
- Very good written and spoken German is a plus, English is a must have
