Business Data Analyst , Master Data Management & Business Glossary
As a Business Data Analyst, you will be part of a dynamic team that supports NetApp business processes. Your primary focus will be on Master Data Management (MDM) for the Product domain, ensuring accurate and timely product data setup for new products and part numbers in NetApp enterprise systems such as ERP Cloud. In addition, this role will involve Business Glossary Management, including the creation of new terms, defining business attributes, and maintaining process documentation. You will collaborate closely with key business stakeholders to uphold data integrity and drive continuous improvements in data quality and governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Master Data Management & Analysis:
- Provide transactional support for product master data in NetApp enterprise systems and processes.
- Collaborate with business users to resolve data quality gaps and analyze datasets for accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
- Support system enhancements and data quality initiatives, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Business Glossary Management:
- Set up new business terms and maintain definitions for attributes and processes.
- Ensure alignment of glossary terms with organizational standards and governance policies.
Requirements:
- Strong oral and written communication skills with excellent documentation ability.
- Ability to manage transactions, reconciliations, and process changes effectively.
- Strong business analysis skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with data quality/integrity concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Customer-focused mindset with a passion for prompt response and resolution.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts.
Education & Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in data management and related applications, preferably in high-tech companies.
- Bachelors degree or equivalent training in a relevant field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Preferred Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle ERP Cloud or similar).
- Knowledge of Master Data Management tools and best practices.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks and glossary management.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment and manage multiple priorities.
