Business Intelligence Analyst

Overview

Join Gartner’s Source‑to‑Pay (S2P) Operations team to design, develop, and support reporting, analytics, and automation solutions that enhance procurement, payment, and travel & expense processes. This role focuses on delivering scalable, data‑driven insights and Power Platform solutions that improve operational efficiency and support informed decision‑making across S2P operations.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain applications and automation flows using Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate to streamline S2P processes.
• Analyze large, complex datasets from multiple sources to generate actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions.
• Build, enhance, and present dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI and Excel, from requirement gathering through deployment and ongoing support.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally with Finance+, IT, Financial Systems Support, and S2P stakeholders to translate business requirements into analytical solutions.
• Research, evaluate, and pilot emerging AI and automation capabilities (e.g., AI Builder, Copilot Studio) to improve existing processes.
• Ensure adherence to BI standards, governance, and best practices across reporting and analytics deliverables.
• Present analyses and insights into S2P teams, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
• Support scalability and sustainability of analytics and automation solutions through documentation and continuous improvement.
  
  

• 3+ years of experience developing enterprise applications and automation using PowerApps and Power Automate (required).
• 2+ years of experience writing and optimizing SQL queries.
• 2+ years of experience in end‑to‑end Power BI dashboard development, including requirements, build, release, and maintenance.
• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, finance, statistics, business administration, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; working knowledge of Access, SharePoint, and collaboration tools (Microsoft and Google suites).
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret and clearly explain complex data.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure, and changing environment while meeting tight deadlines.
• Team‑oriented mindset with strong customer focus and initiative.
  
  

• Microsoft Power Platform certifications (PL‑100, PL‑200, PL‑400, PL‑600).
• Experience with AI Builder, Copilot Studio (chatbots), Coupa, or SAP Concur analytics.
• Experience supporting organization‑wide BI solutions and automation programs.
