Role Overview
MarketStar is seeking a skilled and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in leveraging data and analytics to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and business growth. You will collaborate with the client’s strategy team to collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, identify trends and patterns, and develop actionable recommendations to optimize business performance and improve operational efficiency.

Role Overview
MarketStar is seeking a skilled and analytical Business Intelligence Analyst to join our team. As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will play a key role in leveraging data and analytics to provide actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making and business growth. You will collaborate with the client’s strategy team to collect, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, identify trends and patterns, and develop actionable recommendations to optimize business performance and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to collect, analyze, and interpret data from multiple sources, including vendor teams to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track business performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide recommendations for optimization.
- Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of data through data cleansing, validation, and quality assurance processes.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor business performance.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business requirements and objectives, and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deep-dive investigations to support business initiatives such as competitive analysis, cost saving, etc.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase efficiency and effectiveness in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders through presentations, reports, and data-driven insights.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to business intelligence, data analytics, and data visualization.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, preferably in a technology or sales-driven organization.
- Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and interpret large datasets.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling techniques is a plus.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
