Job Summary

NetApp, an intelligent data infrastructure company, helps organizations make their data infrastructure more seamless, dynamic, and higher performing than ever before. NetApp is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the StorageGRID Sustaining Engineering team, a software-defined object storage suite ideal for use cases across public, private, and hybrid multi-cloud environments.

The Sustaining Engineering team provides engineering-level support to customers. It is involved in troubleshooting and fixing product defects found in the field. The Sustaining Engineering team also contributes to improving the supportability and customer experience of NetApp products.

Job Requirements

• Hands on experience with C++and Python.
• Good understanding and working experience in Object Storage technology.
• Should possess strong debugging skills.
• Good to have knowledge on Microservices architecture and Ruby.
• Having knowledge on AWS protocol is an added advantage.
• Effective oral, written communication and clear articulation of thoughts.
• Troubleshoot/RCA customer issues.
• Identify & develop supportability requirements, the ability to participate in product feature development.
• Contribute to training/tech talks and provide technical mentorship to juniors
• Adaptable – open & flexible to take up new challenges based on business needs.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders and bring visibility for self.
• Contribute to automation/process improvements to help with day-to-day operations
• Operates independently within the bounds of a larger team/plan, able to lead a small team, coordinates across the teams.
  
  
  

Education

• A minimum of 4-8 years of experience is required.
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, a Master degree, or a PhD; or Equivalent experience is required.
