The IZOT product line includes BMC’s Intelligent Z Optimization & Transformation products, which help the world’s largest companies to monitor and manage their mainframe systems. The modernization of mainframe is the beating heart of our product line, and we achieve this goal by developing products that improve the developer experience, the mainframe integration, the speed of application development, the quality of the code and the applications’ security, while reducing operational costs and risks. We acquired several companies along the way, and we continue to grow, innovate, and perfect our solutions on an ongoing basis.

We are looking for a passionate and skilled C or C++ developer to join our team. You will be developing world class Db2 tools that help DBA’s and developers at the world’s largest companies. You will be working on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. We encourage passionate developers with exceptional programming skills and are willingness to learn to apply for the position!

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop and maintain high-quality Db2 software products on z/OS. Your work will include collaboration across different BMC products lines. You will be managing a varied workload of multiple ongoing tasks including new function development and product maintenance. You will be communicating with various teams to help resolve customer issues. As part of the development team, you will play a critical role in developing our software products.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• 8+ years of experience in C++ development
  
  

A passion for programming and a commitment for writing clean, maintainable code

• Strong communication skills
• Expertise in Assembler, C or C++ programming
• Excellent debugging skills
• Familiarity with IBM mainframe systems, z/OS, JCL, ISPF
  
  

Whilst these are nice to have, our team can help you develop in the following skills:

• Experience in enterprise level software
• Understanding of database query performance and optimization (Db2)
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms

At BMC we believe in pay transparency and have set the midpoint of the salary band for this role at 3,380,000 INR. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The salary listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.
