Who will you be working with?

How will you make a difference?

We’re looking for a skilled Cloud Engineer to work on the design and implementation of technical solutions for our cloud infrastructure.

What do we want to know about you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience working in cloud engineering or a related field.
• Professional experience working with AWS.
• Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Bash and a comprehension of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Gitlab
• Understanding of networking, security, and cloud industry standards and protocols.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and communicate solutions effectively.
• Understanding of serverless computing and microservices architecture.
  
  
  

What will your typical day look like?

• Manage, Maintain and Administer AWS infrastructure end to end through automation using Terraform/Open Tofu
• Deploying new Instances, working on storage (EFS, FSX, NFS) and monitoring the performance, participating in AWS cloud discussion and being updated with changes
• Creating Terraform automation script, building customized AMI, enable services RDS, S3, Load balancer
• Collaborate with support team, vendor, and end user for AWS-cloud needs and enhancement, Identify AWS issues and roll out best practices to users
• Contributes to an inclusive environment that values differences by building and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members, peers and leaders.

Expanded Responsibilities

• Supports day-to-day operations for the HPC team by monitoring computing resource performance, managing configurations, and addressing security administration. Apply revisions to system firmware and software.
• Engages and collaborates with vendors to assist with support activities as required.
• Develops new HPC software deployment plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures to ensure operational reliability for Wabtec Engineering Team.
• Trains HPC Team members & Engineering Teams in the use of new software and hardware.
