About The Role
Ampere’s amazing Enterprise Data and AI Team is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, experienced in managing Azure cloud operations. In this highly visible position, you will apply strong technical acumen and leadership in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our Azure cloud platform, supporting our business objectives in service to the larger organization. This position is based in Pune or Bangalore.

About The Role
Ampere’s amazing Enterprise Data and AI Team is seeking a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, experienced in managing Azure cloud operations. In this highly visible position, you will apply strong technical acumen and leadership in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our Azure cloud platform, supporting our business objectives in service to the larger organization. This position is based in Pune or Bangalore.
What You’ll Achieve
- Ensure the Reliability and Performance of our Cloud Infrastructure: By proactively monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing our Azure cloud environments, ensuring high availability and peak performance.
- Drive Operational Excellence through Automation: By implementing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or ARM templates, and by automating routine tasks to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Maintain a Secure and Compliant Cloud Environment: By enforcing cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, and by ensuring compliance with industry standards through continuous monitoring and auditing.
- Swiftly Resolve Cloud Infrastructure Issues: By responding to and resolving outages and performance bottlenecks, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing preventive measures.
- Optimize Cloud Resource Utilization: By utilizing monitoring and logging tools like Azure Monitor and Application Insights to track system performance and health, and by managing cloud costs effectively.
- Enable Seamless Application Deployments: By collaborating with development and operations teams to support CI/CD pipelines and application deployments, providing technical guidance and support.
- Continuously Improve our Cloud Infrastructure: By staying updated with the latest Azure services and best practices, and by driving initiatives to enhance our cloud infrastructure and operational processes.
- Maintain Comprehensive Cloud Documentation: By creating and maintaining documentation for cloud operations and procedures, and by developing runbooks to ensure smooth operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related technical field.
- 2+ years of Azure cloud operations experience, including managing Azure Virtual Machines, AKS, Storage, Networking, and Active Directory.
- Some proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or ARM templates, and scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps practices (Jenkins, Git, CI/CD).
- Strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, monitoring/logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics), and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred:
- Azure certifications (Administrator, Security Engineer, DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with serverless architectures, microservices, network architecture, and cloud cost optimization.
- Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Ansible, or Puppet.
- Experience in the semiconductor industry or related technical fields.
