Cloud Platform Engineer (Azure)

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Platform Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain our enterprise Azure landing zone.

Join us to engineer the future of Continental's digital landscape in an exciting, collaborative global environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Developing and maintaining the landing zones' core infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
• Implementing comprehensive security guardrails, compliance controls, and identity management solutions to protect cloud resources
• Automating subscription provisioning, network configurations, and self-service capabilities for internal teams
• Designing scalable cloud architecture patterns and connectivity solutions aligned with enterprise operational goals
• Troubleshooting and resolving customer-reported platform issues, service requests, and work orders
• Conducting root cause analysis for platform incidents and implementing preventative measures
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation and operational runbooks

• Academic degree in computer science, another technical field or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of experience in cloud platform engineering with focus on Azure services and landing zone development
• Thorough experience in deploying cloud resources with Azure Resource Manager and Terraform
• Strong experiences with major Azure core services (VMs, storage accounts, VNETs, NSG, Entra ID, VPN, Azure Firewall)
• Basic experiences with cloud monitoring (Azure Log Analytics, Monitor, Application Insights)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Python, TypeScript), and version control systems, and working on the command line
• Basic understanding of IT service management processes and practices
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in an agile, fast-paced environment
• Professional working proficiency in English
