Job Description

As a Azure Architect as part of the Cloud Transformation team, you will be the driver of both transformation and new ideas. You will design, deliver, and operate solutions for various business capabilities and must possess fluency in cloud architecture, automation, and scripting. You will help Rockwell move to a Cloud-First operating model that creates the best, agile, and on-demand IT products, and services.

What You Will Do

• Work with customer departments to use cloud services to achieve revenue faster
• Design and implement technical solutions for business problems
• Design, code, and test new tools, applications, and services
• Help teams use and enforce DevOps tools and practices
• Write high-quality code compliant with enterprise and industry regulations
• Author and iterate technical documentation
• Stay current with latest cloud tech and obtain/maintain cloud certifications
• Act as a mentor and learner- always answer and ask questions
• Translate architecture/road maps into implementable solutions
• Help Rockwell accelerate the use of cloud services across the organisation
• Bring industry best-practices and new thinking to the team
• Practice SAFE Agile principles
• You will report to Manager - IT
  
  

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent engineering experience
  
  

• Typically requires 8 years of overall mixed IT experience
• Minimum of 5 years of Cloud experience (Azure, AWS, and/or GCP)
• Drive well-architected frameworks for implementing secure solutions in cloud
• Strong scripting and automation skills (Terraform, PowerShell, Git)
• Technical Skills: Understanding of cloud computing technologies.
• Optionally, demonstrated hands on experience in one or more of the following: Core IaaS: Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability, Azure PaaS Services: Logic Apps, Azure Monitor/Log Analytics, Defender for Cloud, IoT suite, Advisor, etc.
• Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD, ADFS, etc.
• Data Platform and Bigdata: SQL Server, Azure SQL DB, HDInsight/Hadoop, Machine Learning, Cosmos DB
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment automation tools such as Azure DevOps (ADO), GitHub Actions, Jenkins.
• Experience in implementing cost management solutions.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and to communicate effectively with internal and external partners
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, Hub-Spoke model, On-prem, VWAN)
• Any cloud certifications (AZ-400, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or similar)
• Deploying/Migrating mixed Cloud architectures (PaaS, SaaS, and/or IaaS)
