Overview
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage core network infrastructure components, including LAN/WAN, VPN, SD-WAN, TCP/IP, and BGP routing protocols.
- Architect, configure, and maintain next-generation firewalls and Web Application Firewalls (WAFs) from vendors such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco ASA, as well as cloud-native WAF services on AWS and Azure.
- Design and implement secure and scalable network architectures within AWS and Azure cloud environments.
- Experience with GCP is a plus.
- Integrate network infrastructure with DevOps processes and tools, supporting CI/CD pipelines and automation efforts.
- Utilize Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible (and potentially CloudFormation) to automate the provisioning and management of network resources.
- Perform network troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and capacity planning to ensure optimal network operation and availability.
- Implement and enforce network security policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g, ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR).
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, security, and operations, to deliver integrated and secure solutions.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in networking technologies, cloud services, and security threats.
- Participate in on-call rotation as needed to provide support for critical network infrastructure.
- Core Networking : Deep understanding and hands-on experience with LAN/WAN technologies, VPN configurations, SD-WAN solutions, TCP/IP protocol suite, and BGP routing.
- Firewalls & WAF : Extensive experience in configuring and managing next-generation firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA) and cloud-based Web Application Firewalls (AWS WAF, Azure WAF).
- Cloud Platforms : Proven experience in network administration and configuration within major cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
- Familiarity with GCP is a plus.
- DevOps Integration : Understanding of DevOps principles and experience integrating network infrastructure with DevOps workflows and tools.
- Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) : Hands-on experience with IaC tools such as Terraform and Ansible for automating network provisioning and configuration.
- Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation or Azure Resource Manager templates is beneficial.
- Security & Compliance : Strong understanding of network security best practices and experience implementing security controls to meet compliance standards (e.g, ISO 27001, SOC2, GDPR).
