Job Description
We are looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer – Operations to join Visa's Cybersecurity Product Development team, focusing on operations support for our micro segmentation platform. This team is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting all Visa micro segmentation requirements in container environments, both on-premises and in the cloud.
Ideal candidates will have solid Operations experience, familiarity with Kubernetes and containers in general, and experience with microservice architecture. They should be skilled in using DevOps tools and be good team players with clear and precise communication skills. The ability to work well with the team and possess interpersonal skills to reach solution resolution amid diverse opinions.
Essential Functions:
Participate in group discussions to understand system architecture and requirements, and write test cases for integration testing
Create Jira tickets to fix vulnerabilities in images reported as vulnerable in VVMS.
Participate in group standups, provide timely status updates, and review pull requests with constructive feedback.
Remediate container image vulnerabilities assigned to you by the deadline.
Remediate System and TSR Vulnerabilities reported in VVMS.
Deploy Application in Shared Platform Kubernetes Clusters.
Support Incidents created for Connectivity issues and raise bug tickets if needed for code fixes.
Create Grafana Dashboards needed to monitor the apps running in Certification and Production
Interact with group members and other Visa teams as necessary, and support production issues on demand with strong troubleshooting skills
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of relevant work experience and a Bachelors degree, OR 5+ years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD
- Experience in Bash programming
- Experience with DevOps tooling: Git repo, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker containers
- Familiarity with microservices architecture
- Experience with Kubernetes and containers run time (Containerd) and networking (Calico)
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Deploy application in development and production Clusters and troubleshoot connectivity issues
- Upgrade Kubernetes Clusters using Kubeadm and ansible playbooks
- Knowledge of other programming languages desirable: Java and Python
- Proficiency with Linux command line and system administration skills, and familiarity with tools like Git, Ansible, Jenkins
- Experience with container packaging and development, and knowledge of container orchestration by Kubernetes, including container networking and network policies
- Experience with writing integration test cases using Kyverno Chainsaw
- Experience developing cloud-ready components in public cloud environments
- Strong communication skills, write and speak with clarity, ability to work well with others under pressure, and collaborate with remote teams
