Data Analyst

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results using statistical techniques, and providing ongoing reports. You will play a key role in the decision-making process of our business by ensuring the integrity and proper interpretation of data. The successful candidate will turn data into information, information into insight, and insight into business decisions that will drive company strategy and growth.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Collecting and interpreting data
• Analyzing results using statistical techniques
• Developing and implementing data analyses, data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquiring data from primary or secondary data sources and maintaining databases/data systems
• Identifying, analyzing, and interpreting trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Working with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Locating and defining new process improvement opportunities
• Creating reports for internal and external stakeholders using business analytics reporting tools
• Collaborating with teams and management to implement and evaluate improvements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field
• Proven working experience as a data analyst or business data analyst
• Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and segmentation techniques
• Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (such as Business Objects), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

• Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
• Experience in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
• Experience with machine learning and predictive modeling is a plus
• Knowledge of Python, R, or another data manipulation language

Tools Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with SQL and database management tools
• Familiarity with data visualization software such as Tableau or Power BI
• Statistical analysis tools (R, Python, SAS, SPSS)
• Version control systems (Git, SVN)
• Experience with data warehousing solutions
• CRM software (Salesforce, etc.) and Google Analytics knowledge are beneficial
