Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Data Analyst with extensive experience in the Banking domain and deep expertise in SQL and Big Data technologies. The role involves supporting data-driven initiatives through advanced analytics, data pipeline optimization, and Agile project collaboration. The ideal candidate will work closely with business and technical stakeholders to design, analyze, and deliver data solutions that drive business insights and efficiencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze large-scale banking data sets to uncover insights and trends supporting business decisions.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and reporting (SME level expertise required).
• Work on Big Data ecosystems using PySpark for distributed data processing and analysis.
• Translate business requirements into data models and analytical solutions.
• Actively participate in Agile ceremonies – stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives.
• Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams for end-to-end data pipeline and visualization solutions.
• Ensure data quality and validation in all deliverables.

Required Skills:

• Domain Expertise: Prior experience in Banking / Financial Services.
• SQL: Expert/SME-level proficiency in writing complex and optimized SQL queries.
• Big Data / PySpark: Hands-on knowledge in data processing using PySpark, Hadoop, or other big data tools.
• Agile: Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Data Analysis: Ability to interpret data, identify trends/patterns, and communicate insights effectively.
• Project Experience: Proven track record of working on data-focused projects with cross functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
• Experience with data visualization tools like Power BI/Tableau is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.
