Job Description

Location : Bangalore/ Pune

Job Summary –

 We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with a strong background in SAS programming to support the migration of data processing workflows from legacy SAS environments to modern cloud-based architectures. You will play a key role in rewriting, optimizing, and validating SAS jobs using Python in scalable, cloud-native frameworks

Candidate experience – 2 to 5 years

Technical Skills

 Analyze existing SAS codebases and translate them into efficient, maintainable Python scripts.

 Migrate and validate data pipelines and workflows as part of SAS-to-cloud transformation initiatives.

 Work with stakeholders and data engineers to ensure business logic and data quality are preserved during migration.

 Integrate Python-based ETL jobs into cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP using services like Lambda, Glue, Dataflow, or Databricks.

 Collaborate with QA teams to develop test cases and validation frameworks for migrated jobs.

 Maintain documentation for migrated processes, version control, and support production deployment.

Must-Have Qualifications

 3+ years of experience with SAS programming , including macro language and data step processing.

 3+ years of hands-on development in Python , especially for data manipulation and automation.

 Experience working with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

 Strong understanding of ETL/data pipeline design and data validation practices.

 Familiarity with SQL and relational databases.

Certifications Needed

 Somebody who has at least 2 to 5 years of work experience in Linux/ Unix environment.

 Education qualification: B.Tech, BE, BCA, MCA, M. Tech or equivalent technical degree from a reputed college
