Data Analyst II

Position Description

PAR Technology, Jaipur is looking out for a Data Analyst II, who will take ownership of data analytics activities and work closely with end users (both internal and external clients) to translate requirements into data-driven applications and data visualization solutions (e.g. data modeling, reporting and dashboards), along with mining actionable insights.

Position Location: Jaipur

What We’re Looking For:

• 4+ years of relevant experience in data analytics
• Bachelors/master’s degree in data technology, business, economics, statistics or other related fields, with a strong interest in marketing technology.
• Good understanding and application of data exploration skills and mindset
• Expertise working with BI Visualization technology. Major preference for having skillset and work experience with Tableau (Desktop, Online Server), in creating analytics dashboards by connecting with various data sources
• • Strong knowledge and working experience with databases (SQL, Databricks, Snowflake, etc.). Database querying is associated with at least 70% of an analyst's day-to-day activity; hence, please apply only if you are comfortable with writing queries
• Self-starter, with a keen interest in technology and exceptional documentation skills
• Must be proactive and be prepared to address meeting in different time zones.
• Good to have - Programming skillset: R, Python, Tableau Server, Big Data Tools like Databricks, Spark, along with Data Modeling skills

Unleash your potential:

• Ability to work with Tech Lead and Senior Manager of Analytics to discover data spread across various entities and develop scalable data models towards creation of business data layer
• Participate in client calls with stakeholders who are based in different geography and hence different time zones to understand business needs and define reporting solutions
• Utilize expertise in BI visualization technology, particularly Tableau, to design and develop interactive dashboards and reports, seamlessly integrating data from diverse sources to provide stakeholders with summarized data/reports and facilitate informed decision-making.
• Be able to work with multiple databases to query simple to complex data to address data needs from various stakeholders
• Ensure high quality and accuracy of data in the reports, dashboards and analysis
• Proactively manage individual tasks and stories utilizing JIRA (Sprints and Kanban) along with very good documentation skills in Confluence

What you will be doing and owning:

• Engage in stakeholder calls across various time zones along with Tech Leads, to comprehend business requirements
• Monitor and ensure high data quality by creating innovating mechanisms that track data at various stages of transformation, starting from source to the destination
• Work with Data Engineers to identify source of data quality problems and resolve them within defined SLAs
• Independently own reports, including periodic data exports and development of visual (Tableau) reports in certain business areas such as Campaigns and Liability Reporting
• Work with Tech Leads to analyze complex datasets, mining for nuanced patterns in transaction and customer behavior to uncover valuable insights that inform business strategies and drive actionable outcomes
