About The Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst Intern to join our team and contribute to our mission by transforming complex datasets into actionable insights.
Responsibilities
As a Data Analyst Intern, you will work closely with our Engineering and Product Management teams. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Querying and managing databases (PostgreSQL) to extract and prepare data for analysis.
- Assisting in cleaning, preprocessing, and analyzing large-scale structured and unstructured datasets.
- Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns that support product development and business decisions.
- Developing and maintaining data processing scripts and automation workflows using Python.
- Creating data visualizations, dashboards (using Looker Studio, Power BI), and reports to communicate findings effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborating with team members to translate product requirements and business questions into data-driven analysis and insights.
- Supporting the team by documenting data sources, queries, and analysis results for clarity and reproducibility.
Skills Qualifications

- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
- Hands-on experience with database management tools (e.g., DBeaver, pgAdmin) and BI/visualization tools (e.g., Looker Studio, Power BI).
- Strong foundational knowledge of Python programming, particularly for data manipulation and analysis (experience with Pandas and NumPy is essential).
- Solid understanding of fundamental statistical concepts.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to document work clearly.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s (B.Tech) or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field from a recognized institution.
Bonus Points
- Prior experience working with geospatial datasets.
- Exposure to machine learning concepts and libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn).
- A demonstrated interest in climate change, agriculture, or environmental science.
- Experience participating in data analysis competitions or personal projects showcased on platforms like GitHub.
