Software engineering is the application of engineering to the design, development, implementation, testing and maintenance of software in a systematic method. The roles in this function will cover all primary development activity across all technology functions that ensure we deliver code with high quality for our applications, products and services and to understand customer needs and to develop product roadmaps.

These roles include, but are not limited to analysis, design, coding, engineering, testing, debugging, standards, methods, tools analysis, documentation, research and development, maintenance, new development, operations and delivery. With every role in the company, each position has a requirement for building quality into every output. This also includes evaluating new tools, new techniques, strategies; Automation of common tasks; build of common utilities to drive organizational efficiency with a passion around technology and solutions and influence of thought and leadership on future capabilities and opportunities to apply technology in new and innovative ways.

Primary Responsibilities

• Azure Cloud Operations:
• Deploy, manage, and monitor Azure cloud infrastructure and resources (e.g., Azure VMs, App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, etc.)
• Configure and manage Azure Storage, Virtual Networks, and other PaaS/IaaS services
• Implement Azure-specific security best practices, including Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Azure Key Vault
• CI/CD Pipeline Development:
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins
• Automate build, test, and deployment processes to ensure faster and reliable software delivery
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
• Write and maintain infrastructure-as-code scripts using tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep
• Automate the provisioning and scaling of cloud resources
• Monitoring and Logging:
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for cloud resources and applications using tools like Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root cause analysis
• Collaboration and Automation:
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to streamline workflows and improve application performance
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages like PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Security and Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards
• Implement DevSecOps practices by integrating security tools into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure Security Center)
• Basic, structured, standard approach to work
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Technical Skills:
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services (Compute, Networking, Storage, Security, and Monitoring)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM Templates, or Bicep
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles and practices
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, especially AKS)
• Proficiency in setting up CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash
• Soft Skills:
• Proven solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proven excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Proven willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Azure certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
• Experience with monitoring tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus
• Experience with other DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, or Chef)
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git
