We are looking for a Business Analyst to join the growing Enterprise Data Team (MDdata). MDdata’s aspiration is that data underpins the delivery of exceptional consumer experiences and enables retailers, suppliers and to better run and grow their businesses. It is a central team that is enabling data to be a strategic, accessible and valued asset across the Group supporting data & insights, analytics and ML/AI across business units. With the demand for data and insights continuing to grow, we are looking for an energetic, adaptable Business Analyst who is responsible for promoting and supporting the agile team’s use of agile frameworks, helps remove impediments and blockers, and ultimately manages the pipeline and backlog of work to successfully deliver new initiatives and solutions.
The Business Analyst has a fundamental role enabling and supporting the business to leverage BI & Analytics tools. You will be confident capturing business requirements using Analysis techniques, liaising with Business Users and providing support within MDdata team to translate business’ requirements to enable the design, development, testing, training and implementation of solutions.

What You’ll Be Doing (accountabilities And Responsibilities)
- Promote and support teams’ continuous improvement in quality and delivery output
- Utilise functional knowledge to translate business requirements into viable solutions, participating in the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation of MDdata solutions
- Develop business requirements and functional design documents, end user manuals and business glossary
- Develop user stories that balance great user experience with fit for purpose User Interface development
- Regular and effective internal customer engagement to build strong partnerships and relationships with stakeholders
- Work with business units, project managers and project teams responsible for IT delivery and services
- Provide realistic estimates of the time required to complete specific tasks
- Support the Data & Analytics Engagement Lead to build positive working relationships with stakeholders and ensure their continued engagement and contribution
- Working with the wider IT Teams, to maintain positive relationship with the business, identifying customer needs and ensuring that the MDdata delivery team are able to meet these needs
- Facilitate the engagement between MDdata Team and end users to provide solutions and associated processes across Business Pillars by gathering and analysing functional requirements and applying best practices to design solutions.
