As a Data Domain Architect Assoc at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will be part of a flat-structure organization. Your role involves designing, building, and optimizing data models, writing SQL with DBT, and ensuring data accuracy through quality tests. You will consult with business analysts to optimize data models and be involved in data solution architecture with a focus on data warehousing. Collaboration with teammates is key, as our Business Analytics team aims to deliver innovative ideas to our customers. Our teams work in tribes and squads, allowing movement based on strengths and interests.

Job responsibilities:

• Designing and optimizing data models to support business needs.
• Writing advanced SQL queries, with a strong focus on DBT, leveraging incremental materialisation and macros.
• Consulting with business analysts to ensure data models are optimal and well-designed.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide solutions.
• Identifying opportunities to improve data architecture and processes, with a focus on data warehousing.
• Presenting data architecture solutions in a clear, logical, and persuasive manner.

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills:

• Formal training or certification on SQL concepts and 3+ years applied experience
• Strong SQL skills with experience in DBT.
• Experience in designing and optimizing data models and data warehousing solutions.
• Ability to consult and collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to think beyond raw data and understand the underlying business context.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, agile environment within a geographically distributed team.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities, ability to think creatively and impeccable business judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills

• Experience with data architecture in a fintech environment.
• Experience in cloud solutions, ideally AWS
• Basic data engineering expertise
• Familiarity with data mesh
• Familiarity analytics and dashboarding
