Primary Responsibilities
- Design, optimize, secure, and administer databases
- Develop and maintain data warehousing solutions
- Implement ETL processes for data integration and provisioning
- Manage data stores within Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and cloud solutions
- Provide sizing and configuration assistance for data storage systems
- Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for data optimization
- Manage relationships with software and hardware vendors
- Design schemas and write SQL scripts for data analytics and applications
- Ensure data quality and governance standards are met
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
- Technical Skills
- SQL: Proficiency in SQL for database management and querying
- Python: Solid skills in Python for data manipulation and scripting
- Big Data Technologies: Experience with Hadoop and Spark
- ETL Tools: Proficiency in ETL tools like SSIS
- Cloud Platforms: Knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- Data Warehousing: Experience with data warehousing solutions
- Data Visualization: Skills in Power BI and Tableau
- DevOps Tools: Familiarity with Jenkins, GitHub, and Azure DevOps
- Unix/Linux: Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems
- Snowflake: Experience with Snowflake for data warehousing
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certifications in data engineering or related fields
- Proven experience in data engineering roles with enterprise-scale impact
- Experience managing data engineering projects end-to-end
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Knowledge of data governance and quality standards
