As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust data pipelines and infrastructure. You’ll work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Product teams to build data products that are trusted, reliable, and performance.
- Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, Databricks, and Spark.
- Develop high-performance batch and real-time data pipelines with technologies such as Kafka, Python, Delta Lake, and SQL.
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and product teams to understand data requirements and translate them into engineering solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, and lineage across pipelines and datasets.
- Optimize existing data workflows for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Deploy and monitor data workflows in production, ensuring minimal downtime and fast recovery.
- Work with cloud platforms (preferably AWS, Azure, or GCP) to manage data infrastructure and orchestration.
- Implement data observability, CI/CD, and testing best practices.
Requirements
- 2–6 years of experience in Data Engineering or similar roles.
- Strong programming skills in Python (including experience with pandas, PySpark, or similar libraries)
- Experience working with Apache Kafka for data ingestion and streaming.
- Proficiency in Apache Airflow (or similar orchestration tools like Prefect, Luigi)
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, or equivalent distributed computing environments.
- Strong command over SQL and experience with relational and distributed databases (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, PostgreSQL)
- Experience in building data pipelines on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data partitioning strategies.
- Exposure to ML pipelines or MLOps frameworks is a plus.
