Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Azure Data Engineer with proven experience in data engineering development projects on Azure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Databricks, PySpark, and SQL, along with experience leading and mentoring data engineering teams. This is a key role in delivering scalable and high-performance data solutions across the organization.

Must-Have Skills:

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in Azure Data Engineering on development projects
• 2+ years of experience with Databricks, PySpark, and SQL – strong proficiency required
• 2+ years of experience leading data engineering teams (5 or more members)
• Excellent communication skills – able to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics
• Familiarity with Power BI and/or Tableau for data visualization
• Exposure to data architecture and modern data stack principles

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures on Azure
• Lead a team of data engineers, ensuring timely delivery and code quality
• Collaborate with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions
• Optimize data workflows for performance and scalability
• Mentor team members and contribute to best practices in coding, testing, and documentation

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Microsoft Azure certifications (preferred but not required)
