Data Engineer

Overview

Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic Database & Data Engineer to support the design and development of data solutions on AWS. The candidate should have hands-on experience with RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL), data lakes, and streaming platforms, and be eager to learn and grow in modern data engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in building and maintaining data pipelines using Apache NiFi and Spark for batch and streaming data processing.
• Support administration and optimization of AWS RDS instances for Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Work on data lake implementations using AWS S3 and Apache Iceberg.
• Help develop real-time data streaming solutions using AWS Kinesis.
• Participate in configuring and operating Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) for data replication.
• Ensure data quality and security in all workflows.
• Collaborate with senior engineers and architects to deliver scalable data solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• Basic to intermediate knowledge of AWS Services: RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL), S3, Kinesis.
• Familiarity with Apache NiFi, Apache Spark, and Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
• Exposure to ETL processes and data modeling concepts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in data engineering or database management.
• Hands-on experience with AWS-based data solutions (preferred).

Nice-to-Have:

• Knowledge of Apache Iceberg, AWS Glue, or Athena.
• Understanding of data governance and security best practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
