Role Overview

As a Data Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in building and scaling our modern data platform from scratch.

You’ll design robust data pipelines, enable real-time and batch processing, and ensure our data is reliable, accessible, and analytics-ready across the organization. You’ll collaborate closely with product, analytics, engineering, and business teams to power decision-making and digital experiences through high-quality, trusted data.

This is a greenfield opportunity—no legacy systems, no technical debt. Just clean architecture and strong engineering principle

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using AWS-native services
• Implement CDC (Change Data Capture) and event-driven ETL pipelines alongside bulk ingestion workflows
• Develop and manage integrations from transactional and operational systems
• Build and optimize analytics-ready data models in Amazon Redshift (and/or Snowflake)
• Work with AWS Glue, DMS, and related services for orchestration and transformation
• Efficiently handle data from MongoDB and PostgreSQL sources
• Implement monitoring, data quality checks, and performance optimizations
• Partner with analytics, data science, and backend teams to support key business use cases
• Ensure security, reliability, and scalability of the data infrastructure

What We’re Looking For

Must-Have:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS data services (Glue, DMS, Redshift)
• Experience building CDC pipelines and event-driven ETLs, along with bulk load workflows
• Experience working with MongoDB and PostgreSQL
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL design patterns, and distributed data systems
• Advanced SQL skills and solid data transformation practices

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with Kafka or other event/queue processing systems
• Exposure to Databricks and/or Snowflake
• Experience in a startup or fast-paced product environment
• Familiarity with insurance, fintech, or regulated domains
