Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Data Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data engineering, with expertise in AWS data management services. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ensuring optimal data solutions to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable data pipelines using AWS services.

Manage and optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval using AWS technologies like S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda and Athena.

Implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes to ingest, clean, and transform structured and unstructured data.

Work with data modeling, warehousing, and big data processing frameworks.

Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance practices across all data platforms.

Develop and maintain automation scripts for data pipeline orchestration using AWS Step Functions, Lambda, or Apache Airflow.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Scientists, Analysts, and DevOps engineers to support data-driven decision-making.

Optimize database performance and data processing workflows for efficiency and scalability.

Monitor and troubleshoot data pipeline issues, ensuring high availability and reliability.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience in Data Engineering or related fields.

Strong proficiency in AWS services like S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Lambda, Kinesis, and Step Functions.

Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT workflows and data pipeline development.

Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala for data processing.

Experience with data modeling and warehouse design principles.

Experience working with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation is a plus.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect.

Experience with data streaming technologies such as Apache Kafka or AWS Kinesis.

Knowledge of CI/CD practices for data engineering workflows.

Familiarity with security and compliance best practices for data management.

Exposure to cutting-edge AWS data technologies.
