Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining data architecture on the AWS platform. This role requires a deep understanding of AWS data services, ETL processes, data warehouse solutions and data pipeline automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes using AWS services like AWS Glue and Lambda.
• Develop solutions for ingesting data from various sources, including on-premises systems, IoT devices, and third-party REST APIs.
• Implement data storage solutions using Amazon S3 for our data lake and leverage services like Amazon RDS or Redshift for structured data warehousing.
• Collaborate with the Solutions Architect to define the data architecture and ensure the implementation aligns with the overall project plan and industry best practices.
• Perform data transformation, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
• Manage and orchestrate data workflows, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
• Work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide the necessary data structures for reporting and analysis.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, ideally with a strong focus on the AWS ecosystem.
• Proven experience with core AWS data services
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with both relational and non-relational databases.
• Proficient in Python, for data manipulation and automation
• Experience building and managing data ingestion pipelines from various sources, including APIs and streaming data.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT development, and data modelling.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
