6 to 9 years of hands-on experience in data governance, data management, or data stewardship roles.
Technical Competencies
Description
The Role:
- Define, implement, and maintain data classification and cataloguing processes for all key data assets.
- Drive the adoption and configuration of Azure Purview, Azure Data Catalog, and Azure Schema Registry to enable metadata management, lineage tracking, and data discovery.
- Lead the creation and management of business glossaries, metadata, and data lineage for transparency and compliance.
- Implement and maintain data contracts in collaboration with engineering and data product teams, ensuring data quality and compliance requirements are enforced at source.
- Coordinate data access reviews and ensure all governance policies are met.
- Collaborate with technical, product, and legal teams to interpret regulations and operationalize data governance standards.
- Create documentation and deliver training for data owners, data stewards, and platform users.
- Support the data governance lifecycle: onboarding, monitoring, change management, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Management, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience

Technical Competencies
- Proven experience with data classification and data cataloguing in large-scale environments.
- Hands-on experience with the Azure data governance suite: Azure Purview, Azure Data Catalog, and Azure Schema Registry.
- Track record of implementing and maintaining data contracts for data quality, lineage, and compliance.
- Working knowledge of metadata management, lineage tracking, and access policy enforcement.
