Job Purpose

As a Data Migration Analyst at Astound, you will play a critical role in leading the definition, design, and execution of the data migration workstream for Salesforce implementation projects. Under the initial guidance of the Data Strategy Architect, this role is responsible for defining the data load approach, executing ETL-based migrations, and validating data quality to ensure successful end-to-end delivery. This includes close coordination with Agilent for source data extraction and transformation, and collaboration with Solution and Technical Architects on integration-based migration strategies.

In this role, you will get to

• Define the approach for ETL-based data migration activities, leveraging the Salesforce Input Data Structure (IDS) Mapping Template.
• Collaborate with the Data Strategy Architect during Solution Definition and contribute to the overall data migration planning.
• Design and document the target data load architecture and processes.
• Execute data loading into Salesforce environments using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Validate migrated data against quality and reconciliation benchmarks.
• Support test migrations, data reconciliation efforts, and production cutover planning.
• Work closely with Solution Architects and Technical Architects to support integration-based data migration scenarios.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on data requirements and migration timelines.
• Ensure data governance standards and best practices are followed throughout the migration process.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to optimize data migration methodologies.
  
  

Your Skills And Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data migration, data integration, or data architecture roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce data loading and migration tools (e.g., Data Loader, Workbench, etc.).
• Experience with IDS mapping and interpreting complex data models.
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools, with proven coordination of end-to-end ETL workflows.
• Familiarity with SAP and Salesforce data structures and field mapping.
• Demonstrated experience in test load execution, data validation, and reconciliation.
• Understanding of data governance, data quality, and compliance best practices.
• Experience supporting data-related aspects of system integration projects.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Salesforce certifications (Data Architecture and Management Designer, Administrator) are a plus.
