Location: Mumbai, Chennai and Gurgaon (Hyderabad is optional)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Scientist with 2 to 4 years of experience in financial services to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for uncovering insights from data and building data-driven solutions that solve complex business problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop models, create actionable insights, and drive strategic decision-making.

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Data Scientist with 2 to 4 years of experience in financial services to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for uncovering insights from data and building data-driven solutions that solve complex business problems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop models, create actionable insights, and drive strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse large, complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
- Build, deploy, and maintain predictive and prescriptive models using machine learning techniques.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define business problems and develop data-driven solutions.
- Create and optimize data pipelines for efficient data processing and analysis.
- Design and conduct A/B tests to evaluate the impact of business decisions.
- Develop and present visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science and machine learning and apply them to solve business challenges.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, predictive modelling, machine learning, or related fields in financial services domain.
- Knowledge of experience working with classification & regression techniques such as linear & logistic regression, decision trees, neural networks, boosting & bagging models, etc.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python with experience in libraries like Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, or PyTorch.
- Proficiency in SAS programming.
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and querying.
- Knowledge of statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and experimental design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Hands-on experience with big data technologies like Spark, Hive, or Hadoop.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Experience with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Matplotlib/Seaborn.
