The Team

Our AI product team develops multitude of advanced solutions like recommendation engine, fraud detection models, parser tools and strategies based on billions of transactions in India, usage behaviour across thousands of apps, interactions across different platforms like social media, e-commerce etc. The role is with the PayU Innovations team, with specific focus on creating solutions leveraging PayU data and its partners data to help 250+ businesses in India with new user acquisition strategy and existing customer management like credit underwriting, up-sell / cross-sell, prevention of fraud and expansion.

Example Use Cases Are

• Predicting early claim on synthetic id for a life insurance player at the policy issuance stage
• Builing GenAI powered ad-tech platform to optimize content generation, campaign performance
• Generating business growth and risk oriented based insights from SMS data using LLM
• Stopping fraudsters from using deepfakes to gain unauthorized access to an online account
• Creating document forensics tool to Identify forged / tampered documents to solve for KYC fraud

The Opportunity

• Work with a talented group of data scientists, software developers and product owners to identify possible applications for AI and machine learning
• Create strategy, design, and build generative AI solutions across multiple use-cases and on various types of data (numeric, text, audio, video, image).
• Architect, train, and fine-tune AI/ML models, including LLMs, GANs, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, JAX, etc.)
• Optimize AI / ML pipelines for performance, efficiency, and scalability in production environments
• Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to integrate AI into SaaS products
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment of AI initiatives with strategic goals.
• Work with clients to test proof of concept and assist in the final implementation of the solution.

• A degree in Statistics, Data Science, Maths or other similar quantitative field from a premier institute.
• Should have 3+ years of work experience in building data science solutions
• Strong experience with ML/AI techniques including supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, anomaly detection, ensemble methods, and deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
• Hands-on experience with data pipelines, MLOps, and AI model optimization and strong coding skills in Python.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and demonstrated focus for client / customer satisfaction
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to understand and execute complex analysis
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to function in a high volume setting with tight deadlines
