Overview

Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Database & Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust data solutions on AWS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL), data lakes, and streaming platforms, ensuring efficient data flow and high availability across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Apache NiFi and Spark for batch and streaming data processing.
• Manage AWS RDS instances for Oracle and PostgreSQL, including configuration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Implement and optimize data lakes on AWS S3 using Apache Iceberg for structured and semi-structured data.
• Build and manage real-time data streaming solutions with AWS Kinesis.
• Configure and operate Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) for data replication and synchronization.
• Ensure data quality, security, and compliance across all data platforms.
• Collaborate with data architects and analysts to deliver scalable and reliable data solutions.

Required Skills & Expertise:

• AWS Services: RDS (Oracle & PostgreSQL), S3, Kinesis.
• Data Lake & Table Formats: Apache Iceberg.
• Data Integration & Streaming: Apache NiFi, Oracle GoldenGate (OGG).
• Big Data Processing: Apache Spark.
• Strong SQL and database fundamentals.
• Experience in ETL design, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in data engineering and database management.
• Hands-on experience with AWS-based data solutions.

Nice-to-Have:

• Familiarity with AWS Glue, Athena, or similar query engines.
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for data workflows.
