Job Description Summary
Our Mission & Vision
At ModMed, we place doctors and patients at the center of care through an intelligent, specialty-specific cloud platform. We envision a world where the software we build increases medical-practice success and improves patient outcomes.
We don’t just report on data; we transform it into intelligence. By aligning passion with purpose, you will help us build the next generation of AI-driven tools that save time for doctors and improve lives.
The Opportunity: Where Data Becomes Intelligence
We are looking for a highly motivated Data Analyst 2 who thrives at the intersection of data analytics and Generative AI. This is not a traditional "reporting" role—it is a hands-on technical position where you will work with LLMs, build ML models in Databricks, and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of intelligent features.
At ModMed, we innovate boldly, and in this role, you will be the one ensuring our models are grounded in high-quality data. If you love the challenge of making LLMs more accurate and creating customer delight through data-driven insights, you belong here.
How You’ll Make An Impact
- Unlock Insights: Analyze large-scale structured and unstructured datasets using Python and PySpark to find the "signal in the noise."
- Build & Deploy: Develop, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models within our Databricks environment to solve real-world clinical problems.
- Harness GenAI: Work directly with LLM workflows for classification, summarization, and information extraction—helping doctors spend less time on paperwork and more time with patients.
- Operationalize Excellence: Set up and maintain MLOps pipelines to ensure our models are versioned, tested, and performing at their peak.
- Ensure Quality: Lead data annotation and labeling workflows; you understand that great AI starts with great data.
- Collaborate & Storytell: Partner with Data Scientists and Product Managers to turn complex data into compelling solutions and make things happen.
- Test & Optimize: Conduct A/B testing and performance tracking to ensure our AI features are truly moving the needle for our users.
What You Bring to the Team
- Experience: 3–5 years of relevant work experience in data analysis or ML-centric roles.
- The Stack: Strong proficiency in Python (scikit-learn, pandas) and PySpark for distributed data processing.
- Databricks Savvy: Hands-on experience with Databricks Workspaces and MLflow.
- GenAI Knowledge: Experience with LLM frameworks (OpenAI, Hugging Face) and a passion for Generative AI.
- MLOps Mindset: A solid understanding of model packaging, version control, and CI/CD for machine learning.
- Precision: Experience with annotation and labeling tools (e.g., Label Studio, Prodigy) and a commitment to data quality.
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and cloud data warehouses like Snowflake.
- Skill in prompt engineering or fine-tuning LLMs for specific domains.
- Experience with BI tools like Power BI or Tableau to visualize the impact of your models.
- A background in Healthcare AI or clinical data.
