What You Can Expect
Data Scientist role:
- Design and Implement Advanced Analytics Solutions: Develop, deploy, and manage data-driven models and algorithms in R/Python to drive actionable insights, with a focus on optimizing inventory and asset allocation, reducing freight costs, and enhancing customer satisfaction.
- Deliver Business Insights: Collaborate with subject matter experts to provide meaningful analytics and insights that directly inform decision-making processes in Commercial Operations.
- Develop and Optimize Reporting Infrastructure: Build, maintain, and enhance data pipelines and architecture to support automated, scalable reporting solutions that leverage data from diverse sources.
- Enhance Customer Experience with Data-Driven Tools: Create and refine analytics tools, dashboards, and KPIs that empower Customer Service teams to improve customer experience and satisfaction effectively.
- Ensure Data Integrity and Quality: Design and implement robust data validation techniques and algorithms to improve and maintain the accuracy, consistency, and reliability of data across systems.
- Drive Cross-Functional Data Projects: Lead and coordinate global data-driven initiatives, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams in APAC and globally within Commercial Operations
What Makes You Stand Out
- Exceptional quantitative abilities with a demonstrated capacity for tackling complex problems through structured, data-driven approaches.
- Extensive experience in leveraging analytical tools and software packages, particularly Python or R, to derive actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical findings clearly and persuasively to diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to thrive both independently and within collaborative, cross-functional team environments.
- Familiarity with integrated development environments (IDEs) and version control systems like Git is a strong advantage.
- Strong ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively across all levels of the organization, from technical teams to senior management.
Your Background
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or Econometrics.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a data analytics role, with a demonstrated track record of leading data analytics projects showcasing significant individual contributions and ownership.
- Proficient in working with SQL-based databases and programming in high-level languages such as R and Python.
- Experience with machine learning algorithms and optimization techniques is highly desirable.
- Data Visualization and BI Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft products and business intelligence tools like Power BI and Tableau is a strong advantage.
- Fluent in English, with strong communication skills suitable for both technical and business contexts.
Travel Expectations
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time as needed for business purposes.
