About The Role
We are seeking a Data Science Manager to lead the development of machine learning models and advanced analytics for network security applications. In this role, you will guide data science initiatives, oversee model design and validation, and manage project delivery timelines. You will collaborate closely with engineers, mentor junior team members, and communicate results to stakeholders to drive innovation and security solutions at scale.

We are seeking a Data Science Manager to lead the development of machine learning models and advanced analytics for network security applications. In this role, you will guide data science initiatives, oversee model design and validation, and manage project delivery timelines. You will collaborate closely with engineers, mentor junior team members, and communicate results to stakeholders to drive innovation and security solutions at scale.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of machine learning models for network security applications
- Oversee data analysis processes and design advanced visualizations to communicate insights
- Guide model selection, training, and validation procedures
- Develop algorithms for real-time forecasting and predictions
- Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables
- Collaborate with and mentor the Data Engineer and ML/LLM Developer
- Communicate project progress and results to stakeholders
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Statistics, or a related field
- 5 to 7 years of experience in data science with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in network security or cybersecurity
- Knowledge of time series analysis and anomaly detection techniques
- Familiarity with graph analytics and network analysis
- Expertise in Python and R for data analysis and modeling
- Proficiency in machine learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch
- Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and probability theory
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop ecosystem, Spark)
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases
- Strong data visualization skills using Matplotlib, Seaborn, Plotly, or Tableau
- Experience with version control systems like Git
- Knowledge of data privacy and security best practices
- Experience with deep learning models for sequence data
- Understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Project management experience with Agile methodologies preferred
- Exposure to large-scale cybersecurity platforms or cloud-native ML applications
- Hands-on experience with LLM-based models for security or anomaly detection
- Experience in mentoring cross-functional data teams in a startup or SaaS environment
