Job Summary:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Database engineer to join our team for a banking sector project. The ideal candidate must have deep technical expertise in SQL Server administration, query optimization, SSIS management, and job scheduling, along with strong communication and leadership skills to manage and collaborate with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, maintain, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases (2016/2019 or later).
- Write, debug, and tune complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
- Develop, deploy, and manage SSIS packages for ETL workflows.
- Manage and monitor SQL Server Agent jobs, backup/restore operations, and scheduled tasks.
- Ensure database security, integrity, stability, and system availability.
- Perform database capacity planning, disaster recovery planning, and regular health checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues including performance bottlenecks and outages.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and business teams to design scalable and secure database solutions.
- Document database designs, procedures, and maintenance routines clearly.
- Lead initiatives around database performance tuning and process improvements.
- Mentor junior database staff if required and take ownership of database-related deliverables.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA.
- Expertise in T-SQL, database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience managing SSIS packages and handling ETL processes.
- Hands-on experience with SQL Server Agent jobs, maintenance plans, and automation scripts.
- Good understanding of high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) options for SQL Server.
- Prior exposure to banking, fintech, or other financial domain projects is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good issue management capabilities and understanding requiremets
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate / SQL Server Certifications are a plus.
- Exposure to cloud-based database management (Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is an advantage.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
