Job Position: Senior Database Engineer
Experience: 7+ Years
Location: Chennai( WFO)

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain efficient, scalable, and secure database systems (relational and NoSQL)
• Write, optimize, and review complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Perform performance tuning, execution plan analysis, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal database performance
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using SSIS and other modern data integration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Apache NiFi).
• Build, deploy, and manage reports using SSRS and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
• Manage cloud-based databases (Azure SQL, Amazon RDS) and support data migration and modernization initiatives.
• Implement and maintain real-time data streaming solutions (e.g., Kafka).
• Ensure database security, compliance, backup, and disaster recovery in line with industry and regulatory standards.
• Automate routine database operations and support CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Monitor, alert, and respond to database incidents, ensuring minimal downtime and high data availability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate databases with applications and support business intelligence initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of best practices for database management and data governance

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 7+ years in database engineering, development (WFO).
• Core Technologies: MS SQL Server, SSRS, SSIS, advanced SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning123.
• Modern Data Stack: Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis), cloud databases (Azure SQL, Amazon RDS), and data streaming (Kafka).
• ETL & Integration: Proficient in ETL tools (SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Apache NiFi).
• Data Visualization: Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
• DevOps: Exposure to CI/CD for databases, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates).
• Security & Compliance: Strong understanding of database security, compliance, and monitoring best practices.
• Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to ₹1,800,000.00 per year
