Database Engineer

About The Role

You'll be at the heart of developing and maintaining our sophisticated in-house insurance products built on relational or document databases. You will have the opportunity to join one of our product teams and contribute to the development of functionality which generates real business impact.

Your responsibilities include

• Designs, develops, deploys, and supports sustainable data/solutions architectures such as design patterns, reference data architecture, conceptual, logical, and physical data models for both Relational and NoSQL DB
• Data migration / ingestion / transfer from / to heterogeneous databases and file types.
• Performance Optimization (Query fine tuning, indexing strategy etc.)
• Support project team conduct Public Cloud Data Growth and Data Service Consumption assessment and forecast
• Collaborate effectively within a cross-functional team including requirements engineers, QA specialists, and other application engineers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and Generative AI developments to continuously improve our solutions.

You Should Bring The Following Skills And Experiences

• Proficient in Relational and NoSQL DBs
• Proficient in PL/SQL programming
• Strong data model and database design skill for both Relational and NoSQL
• Experience with seamless data integration using Informatica and Azure Data Factory
• Must have previous public cloud experience, particularly with Microsoft Azure
