DevOps Associate Engineer (Mobile & Web Developer)

Overview: This position is an exciting opportunity with a growing IT team. Black Box Network Services is a leading communications system integrator dedicated to designing, sourcing, implementing, and maintaining today's complex communications solutions. This position involves the support and enhancement of the application solutions that help to support Black Box and its business initiatives both domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Building new mobile / web-based applications that are used internally.
• Maintaining existing mobile / web applications support the firms existing public site.
• Participating in full life cycle development, including business analysis, systems documentation, coding, unit testing and quality control, deployment and support
• Assisting with the design, documentation and implementation in line with a continual improvement model
• Facilitating and supporting the rollout of new applications and enhancements
• Ensuring development documentation is maintained and accurate
• Ensuring that best practices are followed during systems design, build and implementation
• Ensuring adherence to the Release and Change process
• Working closely with customers to ensure requirements cover requested enhancements
• Using process flows to determine best practise solutions Work closely with all members of the IT team across Black Box to build an environment of highly engaged, collaborative and results driven team members.
  
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• An energetic and a positive attitude with a strong work ethic
• Programming in Java, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery
• Experience in Mobile application development – React Native, flutter, MAUI etc.
• Experience with Spring Boot/ASP.Net MVC
• Experience with SQL Server technologies
• Experience with REST based API’s
• Good to have exposure to
  
  

• BS in Information Science, Computer Science or equivalent work history
• 1-2+ years of programming experience in Web Technologies [Spring Boot/ASP.Net MVC]
• 1-2+ React Native, flutter, MAUI etc.
• 1-2+ years of experience in SQL
• 1-2+ years REST API
• Exposure to Git or other source control
• Excellent communication skills including working with users to understand functional requirements or troubleshoot issues
• Ability to understand and contribute to functional requirements as well as ability to communicate changes both at a technical and functional level
• Ability to articulate through understanding a solid knowledge of SDLC, software development best practices, and functional process design
• Willingness to learn and at times share with/train other members of the IT team
