Overview
Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available Kubernetes clusters using Amazon EKS.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform/CloudFormation.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, etc.
- Work closely with developers to containerize applications using Docker and deploy to EKS.
- Manage secrets and configurations using AWS Secrets Manager, SSM, or Vault.
- Enable auto-scaling, blue/green deployments, and rolling updates for microservices.
- Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance, implement IAM roles, VPC design, TLS, KMS, etc.
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance and cost.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Amazon EKS.
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, preferably in cloud-native environments.
- Strong expertise in AWS services - EC2 S3 IAM, VPC, Load Balancers, Route53 CloudWatch, etc.
- Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
- Solid experience with Linux administration and scripting (Bash/Python).
- Experience with Docker, Helm charts, and Kubernetes architecture.
- Familiarity with service mesh (e. g., Istio), ingress controllers (e. g., NGINX, ALB), and networking in Kubernetes.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools like ArgoCD, Flux, or Spinnaker is a plus.
