About The Role

We are looking for passionate DevOps engineers who have a great understanding of cloud technologies. One who is willing to take the challenges of Skuad’s rapid exponential growth of infrastructure and stack head on. You will be responsible for developing and managing DevOps infrastructure by building DevOps automations and improving DevOps discipline along with sharing hands cross-functional for maintaining security compliances.

What You’ll Be Spending Your Time On

• Designing and managing highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant infrastructure & networking that forms the backbone of distributed systems at Skuad.
• Configuration management via terraform, Chef or Ansible
• Continuously refactor applications to ensure high-quality design.
• Troubleshoot production issues and coordinate with the development team to streamline code deployment.
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines).
• Pair with team members on functional and nonfunctional requirements and spread design philosophy and goals across the team.
• Optimize the company’s computing architecture.
• Conduct systems tests for security, performance, and availability.
• Build tools to reduce occurrences of errors and improve customer experience
• Perform root cause analysis for production errors.
  
  

Have you done this kind of stuff?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field.
• 4-8 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer, with a minimum of 1 year working on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in code deployment tools such as Jenkins, ArgoCD, and similar CI/CD tools.
• Proficient in monitoring and alerting for infrastructure, application logs, and databases using GCP, Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts, including DNS, load balancing, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience with network configuration and optimisation for cloud environments.
• Skilled in network, server, and application status monitoring.
• Proficient in scripting languages like Node.js, Python, and Go for automation and infrastructure management.
• Solid command of software-automation production systems like Jenkins and Selenium.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure monitoring.
• Proficiency in Bash scripting, with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in both networking and infrastructure contexts.
