Position Purpose

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced DevOps Engineer to play a vital role within the ISPL MFS team in Chennai who will be working within an Agile/Scrum environment to implement DevOps for Java, Angular & microservices based applications. As a DevOps Engineer you will be working on active projects across the business.

We will look for someone who have demonstrated creative problem solving, experience on working within a large enterprise and evidence of bringing your own ideas to the table.

Direct Responsibilities

• Responsible to build, deliver, release and maintain environments.
• Co-ordinate and communicate with teams in provisioning and de provisioning of resources needed for application deployments.
• Support development and deployment of new features within a collaborative Agile-working environment.
• Enforce performance & code quality standards through peer code reviews and automated testing
• Work closely with Solutions Architects and other technical leaders in the organization
  
  

Technical Competencies

• Expertise on the tools and scripting : Git, Maven, Jenkins, Sonar, Artifactory, Ansible, Shell/Groovy Scripting
• Designing, developing of CI/CD Pipelines.
• Work autonomously by taking ownership.
• An exceptional communication and facilitation skill is an important requirement.
• Experience in Agile/ Scrum is an advantage.
• Experience in IBM Websphere / Liberty is an advantage.
• Experience with various monitoring tools like ELK, Splunk is an advantage.
• Knowledge in code quality tools like SonarQube/Fortify is an advantage.
• Experience in Linux Administration.
• Experience with Cloud technologies would be a key differentiator.
• Background in Banking Domain / Investment Banking services is an advantage.
