DevOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Developer to join our engineering team. The role focuses on automating the installation, configuration, build, and deployment processes for software tools and applications across both on-premises and cloud environments. This position plays a key role in configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, enabling efficient and reliable delivery in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret DevOps tool/component designs and implement automation solutions accordingly.
• Develop and support components that enable software/tool installation, configuration, and deployment.
• Configure, manage, and enhance CI/CD pipelines for application development and operations.
• Follow SOPs and adapt DevOps practices to new use cases and environments.
• Write clean, testable code and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Select and apply optimal technical solutions by reusing, improving, or reconfiguring existing components.
• Support user onboarding to DevOps tools and platforms under guidance from DevOps leads.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams following Agile methodologies.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members.
• Document technical tasks and configuration processes for reference and future use.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in DevOps processes and tools.
• Hands-on expertise with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.
• Integration experience with code quality tools like SonarQube.
• Familiarity with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or NUnit.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Shell (Bash), PowerShell, Groovy, or Perl.
• Experience with repository management systems like Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or ClearCase, including automation for migration.
• Proficiency in build automation tools like Maven and NPM.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Understanding of software installation, configuration, build, and deployment best practices.
• Working knowledge of Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) and cloud-native toolsets.
• Familiarity with the software development lifecycle, QA processes, and Agile methodologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Certifications in DevOps or Cloud Platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience contributing to enterprise-scale DevOps platforms or developer enablement initiatives.
