As a DevOps Engineer, you will empower your scrum team by delivering secure, scalable, and automated cloud infrastructure using AWS and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You'll enhance CI/CD pipelines, improve system observability, and collaborate across teams to streamline and accelerate software delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure & CI/CD Engineering
- Build and maintain reliable, automated CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to manage cloud infrastructure.
- Contribute to secure, scalable infrastructure patterns for cloud-native applications in AWS.
- Monitoring, Logging & Performance
- Configure and maintain observability tools like CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar to ensure system health and performance.
- Set up meaningful alerts and dashboards to support application reliability and fast incident response.
- Automation & Security
- Automate infrastructure tasks and deployment workflows to enhance reliability and reduce manual effort.
- Support security and compliance automation, including configuration management, secrets handling, and policy enforcement.
- Scrum Team Collaboration
- Support developers with infrastructure, environment setup, and deployment workflows.
- Provide DevOps expertise within the scrum team and align infrastructure efforts with technical and business goals.
- Operational Support
- Support production systems through incident investigation, performance tuning, and on-call participation if required.
- Identify and resolve infrastructure or deployment inefficiencies to ensure system availability.
- Ensure stability and manage configuration across all environments to streamline development and testing workflows
- Mentorship & Continuous Learning
- Mentor junior engineers on DevOps tools and practices.
- Stay current on emerging tools, technologies, and industry trends.
Knowledge, Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3–5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services: EKS, Lambda, RDS, S3, CloudFront, API Gateway, IAM.
- Proven expertise in CI/CD tools: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar.
- Proficient in IaC using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiar with observability tools: CloudWatch, Datadog, ELK, or Prometheus.
- Skilled in scripting/automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Solid understanding of cloud security best practices, IAM, and compliance automation.
- Experience supporting production environments, including on-call and incident response.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Self-driven with a passion for learning and contributing in agile, cross-functional teams.
