Job Title: Backend Developer with DevOps Experience

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer with DevOps expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Node.js, OpenSearch (Elasticsearch), PostgreSQL, and AWS services (EC2, S3, CloudFront). In this role, you will maintain and enhance our existing codebase, develop new features, and manage deployments. A critical part of your responsibilities will also include securing our applications and ensuring they are free of vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance our existing 3-year-old codebase.
• Develop new features, write APIs, integrate APIs, and manage webhooks.
• Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless integration of backend solutions.
• Deploy and manage applications (Next.js, React.js) on EC2 instances.
• Write secure, efficient, and scalable code.
• Optimize and enhance search functionality using OpenSearch.
• Secure the application and infrastructure, identify vulnerabilities, and implement best practices to ensure security and compliance.
• Monitor and ensure application performance, scalability, and reliability in production environments.

Required Skills and Experience:Backend Development:

• Node.js: 4+ years of experience building and maintaining backend applications.
• PostgreSQL: 4+ years of experience managing databases and writing complex queries.
• API Development: Experience in creating and integrating APIs and webhooks.

DevOps Expertise:

• AWS Services: 4+ years of experience with EC2, S3, and CloudFront, especially for deploying and managing applications.
• Security Practices: Strong understanding of application and infrastructure security, with experience in identifying and addressing vulnerabilities.

Search Optimization:

• OpenSearch (Elasticsearch): At least 3 years of hands-on experience.

Additional Skills:

• Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA.
• Experience working with large, legacy codebases.
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.
