Currently we are looking for a DevOps Engineer 3
Job Description
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and automation solutions, with a strong focus on AWS. This role requires expertise in operations, infrastructure as code (IaC), and CI/CD pipeline management to support scalable, secure, and high-performing systems.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines in GitHub preferably using GitHub action to automate application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Maintain application in Kubernetes stack. Knowledge of EKS, rancher is preferred.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code. Terraform (Must) and Helm. Crossplane is preferred.
- Manage AWS services, including IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, API Gateway, WAF and CloudWatch, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions using AWS CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar tools. Knowledge of Datadog is preferred.
- Knowledge in distributed microservice architecture is good to have.
- Optimize cloud resource utilization and implement cost-saving strategies while ensuring high availability and resilience.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Ensure security best practices in cloud environments, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance with industry standards.
- Automate system administration tasks, including provisioning, patching, and scaling, using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response processes to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Stay updated on emerging DevOps tools, cloud technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement within the team.
- Mentors, influences, and collaborates with other developers and across teams
- Provide guidance to other team members
Job Requirements:
- Education & Experience:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or system administration roles.
- Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Expertise in containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of networking, including VPC, DNS, Load Balancers, and VPNs.
- Familiarity with logging and monitoring tools such as Datadog, AWS CloudWatch, ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
- Eagerness to learn and stay updated on the latest cloud and DevOps technologies.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect, or AWS SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
- Experience with serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Step Functions) and event-driven architectures.
- Understanding of security best practices in cloud environments, including compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA.
