Syncio is Looking for:
Looking for a DevOps Engineer to own, evolve, and harden the infrastructure that powers collaborative commerce at global scale.You’ll work closely with Syncio’s founder, CTO, and product engineering team to ensure our systems are fast, reliable, secure. This is a hands-on ops role with real ownership.
From day one, you’ll be responsible for production systems that support tens of millions of synced orders, high-volume Shopify webhooks, and customers operating across time zones.
This role is crucial for fostering collaboration across teams and ensuring seamless communication in our remote-first, multi-timezone environment. You will be a leader who sets the standard for technical excellence and a team player who ensures that everyone stays aligned on our collective goals.
What You Will Do
- Become an integral part of the product engineering team
- Work closely with the founder, CTO, engineering lead, product manager and engineers to shape how Syncio’s infrastructure, reliability, and operational foundations support and enable the product.
- Influence product decisions by bringing technical insights into conversations about product direction and technical roadmap.
- You will be working on projects start to finish.
- Own production reliability end to end
- Ensure high availability, performance, and resilience of Syncio’s production systems.
- Be accountable for uptime, incident response, root-cause analysis, and follow-through.
- Reduce operational risk through better systems.
- Build and evolve our infrastructure
- Design, operate, and improve AWS infrastructure including autoscaling, queues, serverless workloads and managed services.
- Improve deployment pipelines, environment consistency and rollback strategies.
- Treat infrastructure as a product that engineers enjoy using.
- Level up observability and operations
- Enable cross-team collaboration to flourish across multiple time zones
- Communicate clearly and effectively as a strong team player in a remote-first environment.
- Lead by example to raise product engineering standards and quality.
- Operate autonomously, managing work end to end while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Dev-Ops expertise - You have experience in AWS, infrastructure as code, Comfortable with CI/CD, infrastructure automation, queues, caching, databases, and serverless patterns.
