About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Junior DevOps Engineer to join our fully remote team. In this role, you will work directly with our Infrastructure team to support cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and system reliability across our healthcare platforms. The ideal candidate is hands-on, eager to learn, and ready to grow in a real-world production Cloud (AWS & GCP) environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in deploying, maintaining, and monitoring secure, scalable infrastructure on AWS
Support and help troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation using AWS CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, and GitHub Actions.
Monitor infrastructure performance and system reliability using CloudWatch; escalate and assist in resolving issues
Collaborate with engineering teams to support deployment workflows and contribute to reliability improvements
Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform and Ansible
Write and maintain Bash and Python scripts to automate operational and infrastructure tasks
Assist in implementing cloud security best practices and governance controls under senior guidance
Support adherence to compliance standards such as HIPAA and SOC 2
Troubleshoot system issues across environments and contribute to root cause analysis documentation
Support AI/LLM infrastructure needs in collaboration with data and ML teams
Help maintain secure Linux-based environments across multiple app environments.
Assist with IAM user management including role assignments, policy reviews, and access provisioning
Participate in internal security audits by gathering evidence, reviewing configurations, and supporting remediation efforts
Must-Have Skills
1-3 years of experience in a DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or systems engineering role
Hands-on experience with AWS ECS: deploying services, managing task definitions, and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of core AWS services: EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, ALB, CloudWatch, ECR, Lambda
Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) for automation and operational tasks
Basic Python scripting skills for tooling and infrastructure automation
Good understanding of networking: VPCs, subnets, security groups, and ALB routing
Familiarity with Docker and containerization concepts
Hands-on experience with Terraform or alternative IaC framework.
Understanding of CI/CD concepts with exposure to at least one pipeline tool (AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
Comfortable working in Linux environments (Amazon Linux / Ubuntu)
Good to Have
Exposure to additional AWS services such as CodeDeploy, Secrets Manager, CloudTrail, and EventBridge
Familiarity with RDS: basic administration, snapshots, and parameter groups
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch Logs Insights, ELK, New Relic, etc.)
Awareness of HIPAA or SOC 2 compliance requirements in a cloud environment
AWS certification (Cloud Practitioner or Solutions Architect Associate is a plus)
Experience in a B2B SaaS or Healthcare domain is a plus
