In this exciting role you will join the Global SRE organization in development and operations of the next generation of Commerce Solutions.
The Global SRE team is responsible for transforming and modernizing products to thrive in the cloud. You will develop world-class solutions for highly-available, highly-scalable software that servers customers around the world. You’ll work with best-in-class cloud service providers to ensure that our products follow best-in-class
Position Summary:
- Build test and production environments in a consistent, automated manner
- Create and enhance Continuous Integration automation built on Docker and Kubernetes
- Develop automated deployment pipelines to ship software frequently and reliably
- Create and manage VMs, images, and containers for deployment to physical or cloud instances
- Define processes for deployment of microservices using modern tooling and software
- Creation of services and dependencies using infrastructure as code
- Diagnose and debug issues within the system or dependencies, working with other teams to resolve issues in a timely manner
- Create and enhance solutions for observability, monitoring and alerting
- Develop and review process in consideration of performance, scalability, and testability
- Replace repetitive and undocumented manual processes
- Incorporate changes in deployment pipelines for product features and enhancements
- Work in Agile teams, participate in Agile process in a collaborative fashion
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- BS or MS Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering or development operations
- 1+ years of experience developing in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Working knowledge of microservices, cloud hosted services, and cloud deployment models
- Git / Github workflows
- CI/CD tooling, Jenkins, GitOps
- Ansible/Chef
- Docker
- Kubernetes
- Google Cloud Platform and/or Microsoft Azure
- Linux
- Windows
