Embedded Software Developer - C++

Overview

About the Role :

• Work directly under the CTO on Tara, our AI Cooking Companion
• High-ownership role responsible for the core C++ layer powering Tara's main functionality
• Build and maintain drivers for cameras, audio systems, thermal sensors, and other peripherals
• Shape the technical direction of our product alongside leadership

What You'll Do :

• Develop and maintain the core C++ logic driving Tara's functionality
• Write and optimize drivers for various sensors and peripherals (camera, audio, thermal imaging)
• Design clean abstractions and interfaces for hardware communication
• Debug hardware-software integration issues
• Contribute to build systems and development tooling

What We're Looking For :

• 1-2 years of experience in embedded software development
• Strong proficiency in C++ and object-oriented programming principles
• Experience with sensor interfacing and peripheral communication protocols
• Solid working knowledge of Linux (file systems, shell commands, scripting)
• Proficiency in Bash and Python scripting
• Basic understanding of hardware (ability to read schematics, debug with common tools)
• Familiarity with CMake and Makefiles
